Biography

Famous American musician Amos Lee was born in Philadelphia in 1977. In 1995, after finishing the school, he entered the University of South Carolina and successfully graduated. During his studying, Amos got an acoustic guitar as a present. That time Lee worked in the store, specialized in jazz music. Thus, the young man’s talent and his love to music became the major reasons, predetermined his future life. When Amos came back home to Philadelphia, he had worked for two years as a teacher, however later he decided to devote himself completely to the music.

Release of the musician’s first studio work titled Amos Lee took place in 2005. The debut record peaked at the second place of Billboard Top Heatseekers chart, and its compositions Colors and Keep It Loose, Keep It Tight proved to be really called-for. Thus, they were used in several TV series: House, M.D., Six Feet Under and in the show Conviction on NBC. Album Amos Lee was well-received by the critics, while numerous listeners were pleased by Amos’ creativity. A year later Lee released his second studio attempt Supply And Demand (2006), which turned out to be as rememberable as its predecessor. Due to many hits, such as Shout Out Loud, Skipping Stoneand others, Supply And Demand managed to prove that even in such short terms Amos was able to prepare and record an extremely strong material.

The album Last Days At The Lodge saw the light in 2008 and presented a great number of beautiful romantic compositions. The tracks of Last Days At The Lodge differ from each other, however all in all they create a wonderful atmosphere. Ballads sound great next to more dynamic songs, which is a perfect proof of Amos’ musical intuition. It is worth mentioning the quality of the lyrics that will be definitely interesting for all music lovers and connoisseurs of poetry. The artist’s fans had to wait for Lee’s following work for three years. Traditionally emotional record Mission Bell was issued in 2011. Faithful to his style, Amos again pleased his fans by a delicate cocktail of folk, jazz and soul. Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Priscilla Ahn, band Calexico and others took part in the creation of that long play. There is no doubt that such collaboration proved to be of a great success, and Amos demonstrated that he can record strong albums not only on his own but also while working in the team.
